$65,000 – $85,000 annually
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) Field Service & Commissioning Technician based in Salt Lake City, UT to support the startup, commissioning, and service of RNG facilities across the United States and Canada. Familiarity with odor control and desulfurization systems would also be beneficial. This role provides hands-on exposure to commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and long-term system support of renewable energy infrastructure in a variety of operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning & Startup
• Support field commissioning and startup of RNG, odor control, and desulfurization systems across U.S. and Canadian project sites.
• Assist with loop checks, I/O verification, and functional testing.
• Verify installations against P&IDs and electrical drawings.
• Participate in site acceptance testing, system turnover, and early-operations support.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of the RNG, odor control and desulfurization systems.
Field Service & Maintenance
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and corrective maintenance under senior technician guidance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities on compressors, dryers, valves, and analyzers.
• Support planned outages and commissioning schedules.
• Comply with safety protocols and industry regulations when working with biogas technologies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, repairs, and system performance metrics.
• Monitor biogas and odor control system performance through data collection and analysis, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade education preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning support, or industrial operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Relevant certifications in safety, environmental regulations, or specific biogas technologies are a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read P&IDs and basic electrical schematics
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the U.S. and Canada (50–75%+)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain required site access and safety credentials
