The Field Engineer provides project and administrative support to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and project team. While this role includes periodic jobsite exposure, the primary focus is on project coordination, document control, cost and schedule tracking, and communication. The Field Engineer helps ensure project information is accurate, organized, and timely to support efficient field execution and successful project delivery in accordance with contract documents.

Duties & Responsibilities - This role works closely with the Project Manager and field leadership and supports both office- and field-based project activities.
• Support project planning and execution including material procurement, expediting, and coordination of self-perform and subcontracted work.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and labor productivity monitoring.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and as-built records.
• Support inventory control and tracking of equipment, materials, and resources.
• Assist with change management including documentation, pricing support, and administration.
• Support subcontract administration including scope coordination, progress tracking, and back-charge documentation.
• Assist with progress tracking, estimates, and pay applications.
• Participate in pre-construction, coordination, and progress meetings.
• Assist with quality control, inspections, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Support site safety documentation and coordination.
• Assist with project closeout including deficiencies, warranties, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Strong understanding of field operations and construction sequencing
• Basic knowledge of cost control, quantities, and productivity tracking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a field environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: DOE

Requisitos

   • 2+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment, or 5+ years in heavy civil or industrial construction
   • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
   • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between job sites
   • Ability to perform physical activities typical of construction environments
